Pat Toomey

Pennsylvania
RLC candidates in Pennsylvania didn't make it past last Tuesday's primary.
Congressman Pat Toomey came within a hairsbreadth of defeating incumbent Arlen Spector for the US Senate nomination.
Favored candidate Frank Ryan made a good showing, but not good enough, in the 17th Congressional District.
They both made a strong impression on the voters, the winners and party officials.
